Lisa Mitchell @ The Gov, September ’09

Didn’t know a thing about Lisa Mitchell before this show except that she was a runner up on Australian Idol a few years back.

Enticing is a word to describe her show. She wooed the crowd with delicate conversation, well penned songs and a genuine love for the stage.

Her cover of Dire Straits’ Romeo & Juliet was truly moving.

Lighting tonight at the Gov was perfect: the entire stage was set up to mimic a backyard performance.
